Composite femoro-tibial bypass as alternative solution in complicated revascolarization: Case report

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) in diabetic patients is a significant cause of Morbility. Long arterial occlusion patient previously treated can require unusual and complex solution. Herein we report case complicated bypass with history for bilateral popliteal aneurysm. A 51-year-old male, smoker, hypertension diabetes mellitus was referred to our hospital rest pain left limb peripheral cyanosis. Ultrasound doppler (US) showed an after common femoral artery patency Anterior-tibial (ATA) two centimeters the origin. The unavailability adequate autologous conduit necessitated alternative solution chosen composite femoro-anterior tibial successive ATA angioplasty ensure graft. autogenous vein preferred below-knee vascular reconstructions but redo-procedures absence vein, synthetic or biologic prostheses must be considered as graft material. In these cases improve outflow patency. Composite Femoro-ATA technique critically ischemic legs limited experience this approach safe effective.
